With 15 years of experience as a domestic and international educator and family engagement specialist, Dana has channeled her early exposure to abuse into a passionate commitment to advocacy. Her transformation and passion for nurturing children's self-esteem within the family context led her to self-publish her book, "The Power of Affirmations," thoughtfully re-released in Spanish as "El Poder de las Afirmaciones." Dana's advocacy extends to women and children who have survived domestic violence, where she has cultivated a community dedicated to providing support, healing, and empowerment while affirming their inherent worth in the eyes of God. Dana's insights and unwavering dedication make her an invaluable asset to The I Am House's mission.

  • Mi'esha Reynolds

    Chair

    Mi'esha Reynolds, the Chair of the Board of Directors at The I Am House Website, brings a wealth of experience to her role. With nine years as a Professional School Counselor and National Certified Counselor who holds an ASCA U Mental Health Specialist Certificate, Mi'esha has demonstrated a strong commitment to domestic and international child and youth advocacy at schools. Her dedication extends beyond counseling, as she has connected countless families to vital resources such as housing, food, domestic violence shelters, clothes, and medical assistance. Mi'esha's meticulous attention to detail has been a cornerstone of her personal and professional success, enabling her to plan and execute events efficiently. Her exceptional networking skills and ability to collaborate effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds, regardless of race, gender, nationality, or beliefs, make her a valuable asset to The I Am House’s mission.

Currently serving as an Assistant Principal at a private school in Houston with an international community, Diana continually takes on leadership roles and actively seeks self-improvement, exemplified by her pursuit of a doctorate. Her enduring dedication to advocating for women and their children who have survived domestic violence aligns seamlessly with our organization's mission. Diana's wealth of experience, commitment to growth, and unwavering advocacy make her a pivotal contributor to our cause.

    Director of Grants and Outreach

    Dr. Fontaine brings a wealth of expertise and community engagement to The I Am House's Board of Directors. As a former professor at FAMU for over two decades, her commitment to education and advocacy is evident. Currently serving on the board of directors for Family Network on Disabilities and having held the role of President, she has also contributed to the Foundation for the Arts, Tallahassee Ballet, and Pas de Vie Ballet boards. Dr. Fontaine's grant-writing prowess extends to federal, state, and local community grants, with an impressive track record of securing funding. Her diverse background in teaching, guidance counseling, and work with the Tallahassee-Leon County Commission for Women and Girls further enriches her contributions to our organization. Her certifications in K-12 guidance counseling, birth-grade 8 teaching, and ESOL underscore her dedication to empowerment and support for women and children who have experienced domestic abuse.

Serving as our Director of Finance, Christian plays an indispensable role in safeguarding the financial well-being of The I Am House.
